Rules of the Bravo Music & Theater Studio

Payment for a project

The cost of the lessons includes:

  • Acting
  • Vocals
  • Choreography

How payment works

  • You provide a credit card when you register, and you choose your payment plan at the same time. Please choose the plan carefully — it determines how and when the balance is charged.
  • The card you provide at registration is kept securely on file and used for every remaining payment.
  • Each remaining payment is charged to that card automatically, on the schedule set by the plan you selected. No further action is needed from you.
  • To change the card on file or switch payment plans, please contact the administration before the next scheduled charge.
  • Check whether your employer will match a donation to the studio: doublethedonation.com/bravotheatercompany

If a scheduled payment does not go through — for example, if the card on file has expired or is declined:

  1. Your child will not be admitted to class.
  2. An additional fee of $25.00 will be charged.
  3. If payments repeatedly fail, attendance will be discontinued and your child will no longer be able to take part.

Registration

The registration package includes:

  • Costume rental
  • Microphone rental
  • Photography
  • Video recording

Registration fees are non-refundable. The theater administration may use photo and video materials from performances at its discretion.

The fee is paid at the first lesson of each project. It allows us to order costumes on time, prepare the sets we need, and understand how firm your decision to take part in the project is.

Dress rehearsals and performances

Dress rehearsals and performances are charged as regular lessons.

The studio works with several venues suitable for staging our productions.

The dates of stage rehearsals and performances depend on each venue’s schedule. We will let you know as soon as the venue confirms the details.

Attendance

Because the studio works with each group once a week, lessons are not refunded, whatever the reason for your child’s absence.

More than three absences may prevent a student from continuing in a project.

The studio is closed on the following federal holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas
  • New Year’s Day

The learning process

The following are decided by the theater administration alone:

  • Casting of roles
  • Participation in vocal and dance numbers
  • Choice of costumes

Students are given four weeks to learn and memorize their lines. If a child is not ready to perform the role unprompted after that time, the role will be given to another student.

If a child has health problems that affect memory or concentration, the director and the parents will handle the situation individually.

Every child must have dance shoes for choreography lessons. Without them, the teacher will not allow the child to take part in class.

Dismissal from a project

If a child’s behavior does not meet the studio’s rules, the administration reserves the right to end that child’s attendance. A child may be dismissed at any time, however close the opening date of the project may be. Grounds include:

  • Disrespect toward teachers or staff
  • Conflicts with other students
  • Refusal to carry out assigned tasks during lessons

In this situation, payment is not refunded.

Breaks

Lessons include a 20-minute break.

Birthdays

A child celebrating a birthday may bring treats if they wish. Please avoid sweets containing nuts or nut oil, as some children have nut allergies.

Class hours

Theater classes are held on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

If a child is picked up after that time, an additional fee of $25.00 will be charged.

Waiver of liability

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: BRAVO THEATRE and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;

(B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.
