What students learn.

  • 01
    Body awareness

How to use the whole body intentionally — through games, imagery, and gentle technique.

  • 02
    Pre-ballet vocabulary

Plié, tendu, sauté — proper names introduced through play, so the language is familiar later.

  • 03
    Musicality & rhythm

Listening to music and moving with it. The seed of every dance discipline that follows.

  • 04
    Class etiquette

Listening, taking turns, finding your spot. The unglamorous skills that make a performer.

  • 05
    Performing

End-of-term mini showcases. Their first taste of being watched — and loving it.

— Performance connection

Their first stage.

Little Stars perform in end-of-term showcases and seasonal events on the Bravo stage. For most kids, this is the moment they fall in love with performing.

— Frequently asked

Questions about pre-ballet at Bravo.

01My child has never done a class without me. Is that OK?
Yes. First weeks can be wobbly — we have teachers who specialize in transitions. Most kids settle in within 2–3 classes.
02How long is a class?
45 minutes. The right length to learn something real without losing little-kid focus.
03What does my child wear?
Solid leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers, hair pulled back. We send a full dress code on enrollment.
04When does my child move up?
Movement between levels happens by age and readiness, usually at the start of a new term. Teachers communicate directly with parents.
